Tom Lederer started making furniture in 1974 as an apprentice to Alan Rockwell in New Hope, Pa. He worked for several other furniture makers including Phil Powell (Phillip Lloyd Powell).
He formed Lederer Studio in 1978 . Tom’s approach is timeless. His designs are a synthesis of enduring traditional styles including Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Arts and Crafts.
Tom believes that each piece of furniture should be unique to it’s maker, while remaining steeped in long lasting traditions and enduring high quality craftsmanship.
